He had worked for Monsanto Enviro-chem Systems as a technology specialist and as an R&D manager for MEMC and Merichem. He was involved with sulfuric acid plant design, polysilicon production and H2S removal technologies in his past career. Ben retired from Merichem in 2023 and founded Cypress Systems LLC.
