Ben Zou has a Ph.D degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He had worked for Monsanto Enviro-chem Systems as a technology specialist and as an R&D manager for MEMC and Merichem. He was involved with sulfuric acid plant design, polysilicon production and H2S removal technologies in his past career. Ben retired from Merichem in 2023 and founded Cypress Systems LLC. Ben is an expert and holds multiple patents for solid-fluid counter-current contacting, and his knowledge of solid-fluid contacting leads to his invention of incremental counter-current regenerative heat exchanger.
